The Holy Scriptures

We believe in the authority and sufficiency of the Holy Bible, consisting of the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments, as originally written, that it was verbally and plenary inspired and is the product of Holy Spirit Controlled men, and therefore is inerrant (does not wander from the truth) and infallible (incapable of wandering from the truth) in all matters which it speaks (2 Tim. 3:16,17; 2 Peter 1:16-21; Ps. 19:7-11).

The True God

We believe there is only One living and true God, Omniscient (all knowing), Omnipotent (all powerful), and Omnipresent (all present), an infinite Spirit, the Maker of Heaven and Earth; inexpressibly glorious in holiness and worthy of all possible praise, worship, honor, confidence, and love; that in the unity of the Godhead there are three Persons, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, equal in every divine perfection and executing distinct but harmonious offices in the great work of redemption (Ex. 20:2,3; Matt. 28:19; 1 Cor. 8:6; 1 John 5:1-8; Rev. 4:10).

Creation and the Fall of Man

We believe that man was created in the image of God with mind, emotion, and will; that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature, are totally depraved and for those who reach moral responsibility, become sinners in thought, word, and deed, and that they must be born-again to be accepted of God (Rom. 5:12; Rom. 3:10-26; Rom. 6:23; 7:13; John 3:1-21; Ez. 18:4).

The Person of Jesus Christ

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the second person of the Trinity, is the Eternal Son of God, having always existed with the Father and the Holy Spirit and in His incarnation became man without ceasing to be God; that He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful man; that He thus became the God-Man forever, one person with two natures (John 1:1-19; Luke 1:35; 1 Tim. 3:16; Col. 1:18).

The Person of the Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is a Divine Person, equal with God the Father and God the Son and of the same nature; that He was active in creation; that He convicts man of sin, regenerates, baptizes, indwells and seals at the moment of salvation; that He guides, teaches, sanctifies and helps the believer in Jesus Christ through their daily life; that He is the sufficient power of godly living, Christian service and spiritual worship; that the filling of the Holy Spirit is manifested by the fruits of the Spirit rather than by any specific spiritual gift; that He restrains the evil one until God's purpose is fulfilled, and bears witness to the truth of the Gospel in preaching and testimony (Acts 5:3,4; John 16:7-15; 14:26; Titus 3:5; 1 Cor. 12:12,13; 1 Cor. 6:19,20; Eph. 1:13; Acts 4:31; Eph. 5; Acts 10:44-47; 11:16; Gal. 5:16; Acts 4:31; 1 Peter 1:23; Eph. 4:30; John 14: 16,17,26; Rom. 8:14-27).

The Death, Burial, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ

We believe that as man, Christ was tempted, yet remained sinless; therefore was the only perfect Sacrifice for the sins of all mankind through His substitutionary death; and that all who believe in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood. We believe that He was buried, giving full evidence of His death, and that on the third day in the same body in which He suffered and died arose victoriously. We also believe that our Lord ascended into Heaven; that He is now seated at the right hand of the Father and is our High Priest and Divine Advocate with the Father. We believe that by His finished work on the cross and His unceasing ministry of intercession in Glory, that Jesus Christ has procured for every believer Eternal Redemption, Eternal Salvation, and Everlasting Life (Heb. 4:15; John 8:46; 1 Cor. 15:3; 12:28; Rom. 5:9; John 20:27; Mark 16:19).

Salvation

We believe that the salvation of sinners is divinely initiated and wholly of the grace of God alone through the mediatorial offices of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, Who, by the appointment of the Father, voluntarily took upon Himself our nature, yet without sin, and honored the divine law by His personal obedience, thus qualifying Himself to be our Savior; that by the shedding of His blood in His death He fully satisfied the just demands of a holy and righteous God regarding sin; that His sacrifice was a voluntary substitution of Himself in the sinner's place, the Just dying for the unjust, Christ the Lord bearing our sins in His own body on the cross; that having risen from the dead He is now enthroned in Heaven. He is in every way qualified to be the suitable, compassionate, and all-sufficient Savior.

We believe that faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is the only condition of salvation. Repentance is a change of mind, heart, and purpose toward God prompted by the Holy Spirit and is an integral part of saving faith (Jonah 2:9; Eph. 2:8; Acts 15:11; Rom. 3:24,25; John 3:16; Matt. 18:11; Phil. 2:7,8; Heb. 2:14-17; 1 John 4:10; 1 Cor. 15:3; 2 Cor. 5:21; 1 Peter 2:24).

The Eternal State of the Saved and Lost

We believe in a literal Heaven and a literal Hell. We believe that Heaven is a place of eternal conscious joy for all who receive Christ as their personal Savior. Hell is the place of eternal conscious punishment for all who reject Jesus Christ and those dying in their sin until the final judgment at which time death and Hell are cast into a literal Lake of Fire which is the place of eternal conscious punishment (John 14:1-6; Ps. 16:11; Phil. 1:21-23; Ps. 9:17; John 8:24; 2 Thess. 1:7-9; Rev. 20:10-15).

Last Things

We believe in the blessed hope, the personal, pre-millenial, pre-tribulational, and imminent return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, which is known as the Rapture of the Church. We also believe in the personal, visible and glorious return of Christ to the earth with His saints at the end of the Great Tribulation. This phase of His coming is known as the Revelation of Jesus Christ. When He returns with His saints, we believe that Jesus Christ will establish His Millennial Kingdom and will reign for one-thousand years upon earth. At the end of this one-thousand years, the heavens and the earth will be destroyed completely by fire and God will create a New Heaven and a New Earth (Titus 2:13; 1 Thess. 4:13-17; John 14:3; Rev. 19:11-21; 20:1-6; 1 Cor. 15:50-58).

The Nature of the Church

We believe in the true, universal Church, which is the Body and Bride of Christ, a Scriptural organism into which all true believers of this present age are baptized by the Holy Spirit, and of which Christ is the Head (Eph. 1:22,23; 5:26,27; 1 Cor. 12:12,13; 2 Cor. 11:2).

The Nature of the Local Church

We believe that a local Church is an organized congregation of believers, associated by a covenant of faith and fellowship of the Gospel; observing the ordinances of Christ; governed by His laws; and exercising the gifts, rights, and privileges invested upon them by His Word. We believe the true mission of the Church is the faithful witness of Christ to all people as we have opportunity. We believe in the autonomy of the local Church, in that it has the absolute right of self-government free from the interference of any hierarchy of individuals or organizations; and that the one and only Superintendent is Christ through the Holy Spirit; that it is Scriptural for true, fundamental, Bible-believing Churches to cooperate with each other in contending for the faith and for the furtherance of the Gospel; that each Church is the sole judge of the measure and method of its cooperation (1 Cor. 11:2; Acts 20:17; 1 Tim. 3:1-13; Acts 2:41,42).

Baptism

We believe that baptism is the public confession of Christ as Savior and Lord. It is a symbol of one's union, by faith, with Christ in death, burial, and resurrection, and therefore is to be administered by immersion to only those who have given evidence of faith in Christ as their personal Savior (Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38-41; Romans 6:3-5; Colossians 2:12; Acts 8:36, 39).

The Lord's Supper

The Lord’s Supper is a symbolic act of devotion to Christ whereby believers in Jesus Christ, through partaking of the bread and the fruit of the vine, memorialize His death and anticipate His second coming. We believe both Baptism and the Lord’s Supper is an ordinance instituted by Jesus for the believer. Since salvation is by grace through faith, we receive the Lord’s Supper as a symbol of our personal relationship with Jesus and as an act of obedience to His will (1 Corinthians 10:16; 1 Corinthians 21; 11:23-29; Ephesians 2:8-9).

Missions

We believe that God has given the church a great commission to proclaim the Gospel to all nations so that there might be a great multitude from every nation, tribe, ethnic group, and language group who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. As ambassadors of Christ we must use all available means to go to the foreign nations and not wait for them to come to us (Matt. 28:19-20; Mark 16:15; Luke 24:46-48; John 20:21; Acts 1:8; 2 Cor. 5:20).
